Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 1, 2026What CLERK collects, why, who sees it, and how to have it deleted. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
01Summary
CLERK collects as little as it can. We don't sell personal data and we don't run ads. Most of what the Service shows comes from public blockchains. When you sign in with a social account, we read only your account ID, handle and profile picture, to prove you are the creator a coin names and to show your profile.
02What we collect
Wallet and on-chain data
Your public wallet address, and the transactions it makes with coins on the Service. This data is public on the Solana blockchain by design. We never receive your private keys or seed phrase.
Social sign-in (creators)
If you sign in with X, TikTok or Twitch (through Privy or the platform's own OAuth), we receive and store:
- your account's unique ID on that platform;
- your handle (username);
- your profile picture (avatar) URL.
We do not receive your password, and we don't read your messages, contacts, followers, or post anything on your behalf. We request the minimum permission each platform offers for sign-in.
YouTube and Telegram (code in bio)
YouTube and Telegram creators sign in with Google through Privy, which gives us your Privy account ID and email address (shown back to you while you verify). That login creates your account and wallet; it doesn't give us access to your YouTube or Telegram account. To prove the channel, you paste a one-time code in its public description or bio, and we read only that public page (youtube.com or t.me) to find the code. We store your YouTube channel ID or Telegram username, your handle and display name, and show your avatar. You can remove the code as soon as you're verified.
Linking X to a wallet (fans)
If you link your X account to earn poster rewards, we store your X user ID, handle and display name, and read the public posts you submit (with their public engagement counts) to verify and weight them.
Embedded wallets
If an embedded wallet is created for you, it is provided by Privy and is non-custodial. Privy processes the data needed to operate it under its own privacy policy; we receive only the wallet's public address.
Technical data
Like most websites, our servers process your IP address and basic request data (browser, pages requested) to deliver the Service, limit abuse and keep it secure. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
03How we use it
- to verify that a creator signing in is the account a coin names, and pay their share to their wallet;
- to show public creator and coin pages, leaderboards and payouts;
- to verify posts and calculate holder and poster payouts;
- to prevent fraud, abuse, bots and sanctions violations;
- to operate, secure and improve the Service, and to comply with the law.
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure service, and legal obligations.
04What is public
Wallet addresses, transactions and payouts are public on the blockchain and shown on the Service. If you claim as a creator, your handle, avatar and earnings from coins in your name are shown on your public creator page. Poster leaderboards show linked X handles.
Blockchain records are permanent. We can remove your profile from our pages, but we can't erase transactions from Solana.
06How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active and as long as needed to pay out what you're owed, keep accurate records and meet legal obligations. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
07Your choices and rights
You can sign out at any time, and revoke CLERK's access from your X, TikTok, Twitch or Google account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its use. To make a request, email legal@[domain] from the account concerned, or verify it another way. We'll respond within the time the law requires.
To delete the data we received from a social sign-in, email us with the subject "Data deletion" and your handle. We'll remove your stored account ID, handle and avatar, except where we must keep records of payouts already made.
08Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and the least data possible. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your own accounts and devices protected.
09Children
The Service is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we'll delete their data.
10International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
11Changes
We'll update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes, and announce material changes on the Service.
